yanmar 1700 question

excuse my ignorance but if possible could any one tell me the difference between the yanmar 1700, 1700d,,1700b& is there such a thing as 1700db. i baught a yanmar the dealer identified as a 1700d but looking at different partial pics from several web sites it looks more like a d,b or what one web site referred to as a db. any help here would be very greatly appreciated. i thought i was clear but once again am confused. i may be able to get a pic if that would help

Hard to believe that no one has answered your question yet. All Yanmars with four wheel drive are "D" models. The 1700B has improved instrumentation ( dashbouard gauges ), extra fender coverage, larger operator platform ( extra footroom ), maybe a factory waterpump, inproved fusebox, etc. I have never seen a 1700BD but I have seen 2000BD's. No reason for there not to be any, consider yourself lucky if you have one. I have a 2000B and wouldn't part with it for love or money.
